Spring Microgreen Rolls
George and I had a real aha moment while selling microgreens at the Flowery Branch Farmers' Market a couple of weeks ago: In addition to selling the plants, we should show people some of the tasty ways they can use the microgreens at home.
So the next night, we invited my sister and her boyfriend over to taste test some of our recipes. George spent the next evening elbow deep in seven different types of microgreens, rice paper, seaweed, carrots, zucchini, lemon juice, and other fresh ingredients.
After a couple of hours of trial and error, we came up with what we thought was a delicious microgreen roll. We even made a tangy dipping sauce.
We introduced the roll to the Farmers' Markets and it was a big hit! We've even sold out of them a couple of times. We're very excited about introducing this fresh and good tasting roll to the community as a healthy alternative to GMO and gluten-laden foods.
Tonight, we're going back to the drawing board to see what other healthy treats we can create. Kind of a boring Friday night for most people, but George and I can't wait for our date night!
